Career Pathways

 

PLTW courses are nationally standardized, project-based courses that prepare students for college-level work and their career paths. PLTW curriculum empowers students to solve real-world challenges through engaging and hands-on learning projects.

 

Available under the STEM endorsement – Engineering pathway courses teach students to develop the problem-solving mindset of an engineer. Throughout the four-year course work, students will engage in real-life challenges such as designing a home or programming a robotic arm. Available under the STEM endorsement – Biomedical Science pathway courses allow students to see themselves in the role of biomedical professionals as they solve real-world challenges, such as preventing, diagnosing, treating disease, and investigating the death of a fictional person. SST Biomedical Science Course Sequence: PLTW Principles of Biomedical Science; PLTW Human Body Systems; PLTW Medical Interventions; PLTW Biomedical Innovations.

Available under the STEM endorsement – Programming and Software Development pathway courses empower students with in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they choose.
